The challenge

A major camera manufacturer released a new DSLR that takes photographs with a higher DPI than any other DSLR on the market. To promote the camera, the manufacturer created a pop-up so photographers can shoot models with the camera in a controlled environment. Since the high DPI was a key point of interest for customers, the manufacturer wanted to highlight it as much as possible.

To emphasis the resolution of the photographs, Mezmos created a VR experience that simulates a beautiful gallery that displays raw photographs at a percieved 10′ x 12′ scale. At the pop-up, photographers can take the SIM card used in the camera and plug it directly into a computer for viewing. Once plugged in, the photographer can put on a VR headset and be transported into the gallery while the large screens.

Since the VR app reads the SIM card directly, photographers can see their raw photographs in the gallery at a size so large they can appreciate the resolution and quality of the photograph, prior to editing.
